Mady’s Journey
Mady’s journey at The Healing Place began with a difficult detox experience—but her resilience and determination carried her through. Despite being incredibly sick, Mady found strength in the powerful support system of the women detoxing alongside her. They rallied around her, offering encouragement, care, and compassion that helped her push forward day by day.
In the early stages of the program, Mady was quiet and reserved. But as time went on, she began to find her voice. After completing Phase I and moving into the peer mentor office, she truly began to shine.
Mady quickly became a role model among the women, leading by example with humility, strength, and grace. What stands out most about Mady is her incredible empathy. Whether it’s offering a kind word, sharing her experience, or simply showing up for someone in need, she brings compassion into every interaction.
Now serving as a detox monitor, Mady continues to be a steady source of strength and hope for our clients—meeting them with understanding and reminding them that they are not alone.
We’re thrilled to share that Mady will be celebrating two years of sobriety on August 1, 2025—a perfect moment to honor her story in this month’s newsletter.
Congratulations, Mady! We’re so proud of you and grateful to have you as part of the THPNC family.
